Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) needed a cost-effective, DfE-compliant solution to modernise outdated classroom AV technology across its schools without large upfront investment and with minimal disruption to teaching.
OBJECTIVE
To come up with a 5 year DFE approved “AV as a service” package for GAT which will allow you to address total front of class technology replacement investing annually, or termly, over 5 years.
HOW THE PACKAGE WORKS:

- We come and carry out an initial audit of your classroom technology documenting what’s where, how it’s used, what’s in warranty and can be re-used elsewhere. We’ll also show you how you can save money on power.
- We’ll loan you a screen (GAT choice of technology) and / or carry out a demonstration for you.
- We’ll provide you a GAT approved proposal for your project utilising a DFE approved 5 year plan.
- We’ll carry out the installs using our own fully DBS enhanced cleared engineers, we’ll remove and recycle all unwanted hardware and issue you a WEEE recycling certificate.
- The staff will be trained individually, or collectively, for free.
- Our engineers and support team have your back for a full 5 years. Any issue will be resolved between us and your technician(s) quickly to avoid any downtime to teaching.
DETAIL
Our negotiated price for multiple installs per site is less than £1500, approx. cost £360 per screen/per year. Knowing budgets are extremely tight, the reasoning behind the 5 year financed plan is that the screen cost reduction and power savings far exceed the cost of the finance. Initial first lease payments can be deferred to the start of the new GAT financial year. This package and process is simple and cost effective.
Since January 2025 ProActiVe AV have delivered a transformative programme of replacing and renewing IWBs and AV systems across GAT’s academies reducing our power use by over 50% and reducing costs by thousands. So far, ProActiVe AV have successfully installed over 271 new IWBs in 12 academies and in the process have repurposed over 50 previously unsuitable IWBs to non-teaching spaces and have recycled over 220 old solutions on our behalf.
The value for money offered by ProActiVe and the feedback provided by EVERY academy has been simply outstanding.
